The EX-F1

The EX-F1 is Casio's most advanced High Speed camera, capable of shooting video up to 1,200 fps and comes equipped with a powerful 12x zoom.

HIGH SPEED BURST

Up to 60 fps at full resolution

The EX-F1 can shoot at an amazing 60 frames per second in High Speed Burst mode. This allows you to capture up to 60 images with a single press of the button. After the images have been taken you simply save one, two or all of the images to capture the perfect moment.

In High Speed Burst mode, the frame rate can also be varied from between 1 and 60 frames per second while shooting. This means that each time you press the button you can capture up to 60 images per second for one second, or 5 images per second for 12 seconds or 10 images per second for 6 seconds ? or any other rate you'd like.

HIGH SPEED MOVIE

Video Capture at up to 1,200 fps

The 1,200 frame-per-second High Speed Movie capabilities of the EX-F1 makes digital imaging more fun than ever before. This means that you can easily shoot ultra slow-motion movies at speeds that have until now been available only on professional level cameras. This feature allows you to capture dramatic moments that cannot be seen by the naked eye, making the invisible visible.

Settings for 300fps, 600fps and variable 30-300fps are also included with the camera. While 30-300fps is selected, you can toggle the movie recording speed between 30 fps and 300 fps by pressing the SET button or by operating the function ring. This provides you with the versatility to creatively match recording speed to the action as it happens.

PRERECORD CS

High-speed recording of action that occurs before you press the shutter button

The EX-F1 allows you to capture the perfect moment even if you press the button too late. This feature works with both High Speed Burst and High Speed Movie shooting. With the amazing pre-record function the camera takes images before you fully press the button giving you the ability to virtually travel back in time so that you never miss the action.

With High Speed Burst the function works by storing up to 60 images in a buffer on the camera. Similarly, with the High Speed Movie pre-record stores five seconds of action in the camera's buffer. When the button is pressed the images or video in the buffer are saved along with your newly record imagery.

The firmware of products that were shipped initially need to be updated with the latest version in order to use this feature. Download the latest firmware version for free here.

12X OPTICAL ZOOM

Incredible zoom with digital stabilization

12X optical zoom combines with a CMOS shift stabilization for beautiful images even at high zoom factors where images are prone to blurring. HD zoom, which can be used when shooting standard movies, lets you zoom up to 48X (12X optical zoom x 4X digital zoom), with high-resolution clarity that is virtually equal to that of optical zoom.

HIGH SPEED MOVIE MANUAL RECORDING

Gain full control of your High Speed Movies

The EX-F1 lets you configure camera settings manually while using High-speed Movie. You can select A, S, or M for the recording mode, and also configure aperture, shutter speed, and ISO sensitivity settings. Manual settings let you set up for maximum image sharpness and give you full control of your digital imagery.

HIGH-DEFINITION MOVIE

Unmatched image clarity

The EX-F1 lets you shoot beautiful 1920 x 1080-pixel Full HD movies at a frame rate of 60 fields per second. After your video is recorded you can view it by connecting your camera directly to a Full HD TV for big screen viewing. The EX-F1 also comes with USB cables and software that allows you to view your HD films on your computer or to burn them to a DVD.

MOVE IN / MOVE OUT

Continuous shutter functions triggered by the action

The EX-F1 Move In functionality automatically records what happened immediately before and after a subject moves into a boundary on the monitor screen. Similarly, the Move Out function automatically records what happened immediately before and after a subject moves out of a boundary on the monitor screen. These functions are great for capturing the moment when your subject moves quickly past the lens.

SLOW MOTION VIEW

View buffer images in slow motion as they are recorded

Slow Live lets you view images of fast-moving action on the camera's monitor screen in slow motion. When the image you want to keep is on the screen, simply press the shutter button to store it.

FLASH CONTINUOUS SHOOTING

Continuous shutter even where lighting is dim

Flash Continuous Shooting lets you shoot up to 20 consecutive images at a maximum speed of 7 fps. Using the camera's built-in LED light, you can record images with High Speed Burst at speeds ranging from 10 images to 60 fps.

BEST SHOT

Program the camera automatically for particular subject, scene, or lighting conditions

The High-Speed Exilim Series has up to 27 Best Shot Modes including two unique modes that activate the shutter when the subject enters or leaves the frame. If you want to capture an image of a hummingbird in this mode, you can focus on the flower. Then, when the hummingbird enters the frame, the shutter will fire automatically. Having up to 60 frames to choose from, you will have the exact image you want.

FACE DETECTION

Put a better face on your images with automatic Face Detection technology. Our camera adjusts instantly for optimum focus and background even if your subject is backlit or in front of a patterned backdrop. Moving targets? No problem. The camera will capture kids and pets on the go in the sharpest detail.

CMOS IMAGE STABILIZATION

The CMOS sensor shift technology reduces the effect of camera shake resulting in sharper images.

Function Ring for easy setting selection

Simply rotate lens ring to control continuous shutter speed, zoom, or focus for operation that is identical to that of a single-lens reflex camera. Continuous shutter speed can be adjusted while shooting, and High-speed Movie can be switched between 30 fps and 300 fps while recording is in progress.

Continuous Shutter Dial for easy selection of Continuous Shutter mode

The Continuous Shutter Dial can be used for quick and simple selection of one of the following continuous shutter modes: 60 fps Ultra High-speed Continuous Shutter, Prerecord Continuous Shutter (Movie), Slow Live, Flash Continuous Shutter, or Auto Bracketing.

Seamless movie recording

A dedicated movie button and movie mode switch allows seamless control of High-speed Movie recording and HD movie recording. Simply use the dial to select the mode you and press the button to start recording.

Direct Power On for instant shooting or viewing

Press the REC button to power up in the REC mode, or the PLAY button for the PLAY mode. Separate mode-specific power buttons mean you can immediately start recording or viewing images as soon as the camera powers up.

Continuous Shutter image management: image grouping

Images that were shot as part of a Continuous Shutter operation are grouped for display and easy management.

Continuous Shutter image management: group playback

Images in a group can be displayed individually, or you can play a slideshow of all the images in a group.

Continuous Shutter image management: group delete

Images in a Continuous Shutter group can be deleted individually or the entire group can be deleted with a single operation.
